XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS (PPF) AFTERCARE INSTRUCTION

1. Please do not wash your car in the first (7) days after installation. The moisture in between the film and the paint surface is still evaporating; the edges are also drying so that the adhesive can stick to the paint correctly. The use of shampoo will hinder the edges to set correctly.
2. Once the film has cured, you can wash the car as normal. If using a pressure gun washer, insured that you keep the spray at least 3 feet away from the surface of the film especially the edges as it may lift the edge of the film.
3. The best product to use on the film is PH neutral car products such as XPEL RINSE-FREE SHAMPOO.
4. In the event you have birds’ droppings or tree sap you should remove it immediately with XPEL DETAIL SPRAY for best results or pour water in the affected area; leave it to soften for a few seconds then gently wipe off with microfiber cloth only.
5. Stubborn stains can be removed with 99% isopropyl alcohol. Take care to keep these chemicals off the vehicle’s paint.
6. Recommended to seal with XPEL FLAWLESS PAINT PROTECTION FILM SEALANT every month to preserve high gloss and the lifespan of the film.
7. Light scratches in the film will self-heal in 20-30 minutes at room temperature. In colder conditions, or to accelerate the process, pour warm water (50°C) over the affected area.
8. Detailing Clay can be used to remove contaminants that are on the film.
9. Polish that has heavy abrasives must not be used on the film nor product that contain petroleum or solvent, these will damage the self-healing layer of the film.
