AUTOVIA Window Tint
According to the JPJ, the regulations require a minimum of 70% Visible Light Transmission (VLT) for the front windscreen and 50% for the sides and rear windscreen. However, the new regulation, which goes into effect on May 1, 2015, requires the rear windscreen and rear passenger windows to have 30% VLT.
The percentage of ultraviolet energy deflected away from the window film is referred to as ultraviolet rejection. Ultraviolet rays can cause fading of upholstery and furnishings. It can also damage the skin and cause skin cancer.
The amount of visible light that passes directly through filmed glass is referred to as VLT. The lower the visible light transmitted, the darker the tint.
Total Solar Energy Rejected (TSER) is the fraction of total solar energy rejected. Visible light, infrared radiation, and ultraviolet energy are all part of TSER. The greater the percentage, the greater the amount of solar energy deflected. Most tinting shops use Infrared Rejection (IRR) to determine heat rejection. However, IRR only accounts for a portion of TSER. TSER is used as a guide internationally because it is a more accurate way of measuring heat rejection.
Ceramic window tint is made of the same ultra-thin material as other tints, but it is then coated with microscopic nano-ceramic particles that are invisible to the eye but powerful enough to reduce glare, block 99 percent of harmful UV rays, and handle the sun's most heat-generating infrared rays. This cutting-edge technology makes a significant difference in how you feel and how quickly your car cools down.
Metalized window tint is made of tiny metallic particles. This gives it a reflective or shiny appearance, as well as protection against the sun's most unwelcome side effects: extremely hot surfaces, UV damage, and AC that struggles to keep up. Owners of metallized tint prefer its reflective appearance and ability to reflect heat.
Yes. The same sunlight that brightens your vehicle's interior can be harmful to the fabrics, leather, dashboard, and other interior surfaces. UV rays are the primary cause of fade and deterioration. Autovia window films can block up to 99 percent of the damaging UV rays that can fade surfaces.
Visual light transmission (VLT), or the amount of light allowed through the film, is represented by film percentages. The darker the film, the lower the percentage. Modern advances in window film allow for excellent heat rejection with lighter films, eliminating the need for dark window tint to achieve the same results.
The window film is applied to the inside of the glass. The film is first applied to the outside of the vehicle's windows and marked to fit. The pieces are then trimmed down and placed on a large piece of glass before being installed on the inside of the windows.
Alternatively, for a back window or windshield visor, the window film is applied from the outside, allowing us to heat shrink it to fit the shape and contour of the glass. The film is then trimmed before being installed on the inside of the back or front glass.
Allow a week after installing window film before cleaning the inside of the window. After a week, wipe down the window with a soft microfiber cloth and a window film cleaner. Never scrape the film with a blade or use anything abrasive to clean your tinted windows, as this will scratch the film.
We recommend that you leave your vehicle windows rolled up for at least 24-36 hours after installing window films. This gives the film time to cure and adhere to the glass before moving the window
GYEON Ceramic Coating
It is a solid transparent, slick, and highly self-cleaning silica-based protective layer, once crystallised on any surface of your vehicle.
A wax is a layer that is intended to last only a short time because it does not form a permanent or semi-permanent bond with the paint. A wax is a compound composed of organic and inorganic ingredients such as carnauba wax, beeswax, or synthetic PET-C or polymer-based ingredients. Because of its low chemical resistance, it adds gloss and repellency but fades after a few washes.
A ceramic coating, on the other hand, is a liquid mixture of Silica or Polysilazanes with solvents that crystallises after the solvent evaporates and forms a solid layer on the surface. This layer is extremely chemically resistant, and once cured, it can only be removed from the surface by mechanical polishing.
"Quartz," "Glass," and "Ceramic" are all synonyms for the same thing: SiO2 (silica-dioxide) coatings. Don't be distracted by phony marketing.
No, only a high-quality paint protection film will satisfy the requirements.
Nothing can completely eliminate water marks. They can occur on bare, waxed, or coated paint. Bird droppings is one of the harshest and most harmful substances known.
A coating will buy you the time you need to remove the contamination without etching. However, if you leave it on a hot summer day for several hours, no amount of coating will protect it completely.
During the first 14 days, avoid contact with detergents/chemicals. The use of automatic car washes is prohibited. When your vehicle is wet, avoid exposing it to direct sunlight.
We recommend that you do not wash your vehicle for at least 14 days after applying any ceramic coating.
Through machine polishing. Once cured, the only way to remove a ceramic coating from painted surfaces is through mechanical polishing with a cutting compound.
If your coating is no longer beading, the cause could be simple. With time, the surface accumulated contamination (tar, tree sap, metallic contamination). Your coating is still present and protects your vehicle from UV rays and chemicals.
To remove contamination, we recommend performing chemical decontamination with Q2M Iron & Q2M Tar, followed by Q2M Cure or Q2M WetCoat to restore initial repellency.
Throughout your normal wash routine, we recommend using Q2M Bathe+, Q2M Cure, Q2M Ceramic Detailer, or Q2M Wetcoat. If the Q2 Wax's properties begin to deteriorate, wash your car with Q2M Restart Wash and reapply a layer over it.
No. However, you can use any of our maintenance products to enhance and extend their properties.
The car should be kept in the garage/studio for at least 12 hours. For the next 7 to 14 days, avoid any contact with chemicals/detergents.

Yes. UPPF can be installed in your vehicle's headlights and fog lights.
Yes. UPPF paint protection film can be applied to any smooth surface, but caution should be exercised around any electronics and/or switches to prevent installation fluids from entering sensitive areas.
Yes. Before the car leaves the assembly line, the factory paint is fully cured.
Any of our films can be installed on Chrome, though the finish will differ slightly from that of unprotected chrome. We recommend having your installer apply a small swatch to the desired surface before making a decision.
The self-healing layer is the clear coat, which is approximately 13 microns thick. The film will not heal if that layer is broken.
UPPF paint protection film does not require any special maintenance. However, if the film is treated twice a year with UPPF Super Sealant coating, it will last longer and be easier to clean.
No. We recommend that used paint protection film be removed by a professional installer or in a car shop, as glue residue may remain and harm the paint surface.
Yes. However, wait 72 hours after installation to allow the film to completely dry.
Yes. However, wait 72 hours after installation to allow the film to completely dry.
UPPF Film Cleaner is intended to remove dirt, grime, and oils from paint protection film, which can lead to yellowing over time. Use acetone or lacquer thinner and a soft microfiber cloth to remove stains from other substances such as insects, bird droppings, or other compounds.
UPPF films' self-healing clear coat is designed to repair itself from swirl marks and light scratches caused by car washes, among other things. It will not self-heal if a piece of debris has penetrated all the way through the clear coat of the film. The only way to fix this is to replace the film.
If any adhesive remains after removal, you can use a general-purpose adhesive remover, which can be found at your local auto parts or home improvement store.
The UPPF warranty cannot be transferred to another owner.
No, once applied and removed, the film cannot be reused.
Waxes, sealants, and protectants are commonly used to reduce the surface energy of the paint, making it easier to clean, and so on. A decrease in surface energy reduces the film's ability to adhere to the paint and may result in long-term adhesion issues. As a result, we generally advise removing these products prior to installation. If these coatings are to be used, we recommend that they be applied AFTER the installation of our paint protection film.
Yes, coatings can be applied to films. Adding a coating does not limit the film from self-healing. Coatings can add a protective layer over the film, providing different properties depending on the coating (Please contact your installer or coating company for more information). Depending on the coating used, the additional coating layer may or may not self-heal. When the coating wears down and deteriorates, the self-healing properties of UPPF remain.
Warranty coverage includes degumming, cracking, peeling (except were caused by an external factor such as non-local washing), and delamination. (Warranty only applies to the original paint)
Abrasion caused by external force, collision damage, accidental damage, and any form of vandalism are not included.
To file a claim, contact the Authorized UPPF Installer who performed the installation first. To process your claim, you must keep the warranty card, film series number, and problem films. UPPF will contact you for a solution after checking and confirming.
